Good questions, straight answers.
What is hydroseeding?
A mix of grass seed, protective mulch, fertilizer, and a binding agent (tackifier) sprayed onto prepared ground as a slurry. It grows in fuller than hand-seeding and costs far less than sod.
How long until I see grass?
Germination typically begins within one to two weeks, with visible fill-in over the following weeks. Full establishment depends on season, watering, and grass type — we'll give you a specific expectation for your yard with your quote.
Is it cheaper than sod?
Generally yes — significantly so per square foot on larger areas. Sod gives you an instant lawn; hydroseeding gives you the same full result for less money and a few weeks of patience.
Do I need irrigation?
Consistent watering matters most in the first few weeks. A sprinkler system helps, but reliable hand or hose-end sprinkler watering works too. We'll leave you a simple schedule.
When is the best time to hydroseed?
In Northeast Georgia, spring and late summer through early fall are generally the best windows, avoiding peak summer heat and winter dormancy. Ask us about the right timing for your grass type.
